Last week James Palmer, Conservative Mayoral candidate for Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, visited Westminster to discuss his campaign with the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Theresa May MP.
Following the meeting, James said:
"The Prime Minister was very knowledgeable about the Cambridgeshire economy and the inadequate infrastructure. I stressed to the Prime Minister my belief in her Global Britain agenda and my determination to ensure that Cambridgeshire & Peterborough plays a full part in helping her achieve her agenda.
"I am very excited for Cambridgeshire & Peterborough at the prospect of being able to work with the Prime Minister backed by a significantly increased Conservative majority after the 8th June."
