Last Wednesday, Conservative Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Mayoral candidate, James Palmer, joined Huntingdon MP, Jonathan Djanogly in St Ives to meet local residents.

As part of his campaign James is visiting local markets and town centres across the County to talk to residents about what matters to them. Commenting upon his visit to St Ives, James said:

"Time and time again when I meet local residents across the County, concerns are raised about our inadequate transport infrastructure. It was no different in St Ives.

"We will only achieve our full potential as a County if we get the investment we need. If elected Mayor, ensuring that we get this investment will be my number one priority. Only with this investment can we get the housing and growth we need across the whole of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.

"If elected I will work closely with Jonathan to deliver for the people of Huntingdon and St Ives."
